Displays
Perhaps what most people think of when they consider the word ‘pyrotechnic’ is the traditional display on the 4th of July and New Years’ Eve. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest display on record took place on November 29, 2014 where 540,382 effects occurred in a marvelous 90 minute show. It was in tribute to the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian constitution and took place in the town of Søgne, Norway.
When you stop and consider that in the US, on New Year’s and the 4th, that in most towns or cities there is some sort of display. That is a lot of fireworks and that is a lot of licensed pyrotechnicians – and who are working and not necessarily with their own family and friends celebrating what we take for granted. Sometimes the setup is over land and sometimes it is done from a boat or conducted from a ship.
The spectators need to be covered – the venue itself needs coverage – the transportation of the pyrotechnics – and just as important the shooter and his crew.
There are a variety of policies available with terms and conditions. If you are interested in getting an insurance quote for your display operations, we ask that you call and speak with one of our agents or brokers and tailor a policy to your needs.
